Sounds like you may have tried to JTAG with the wrong files, possibly. Try to JTAG it back to life with the following kit.

You ,may also have wired the JTAG cable wrong. Check the pics in the above package for the proper JTAG wiring, also.
I hope you were not using a Pansat 2700 JTAG package, that was your first mistake. Only use files intended for your receiver model. You should have been doing the Pariza Conversion.
