If you don't like how things are, please post in the Site Feedback forum and let me know.

Along with this, if you are trying to do something that is against the spirit of the rules below, but is technically allowed, you will probably get an infraction and you could be banned on the first infraction.

If you do something that is not nice, but is not specifically mentioned in the rules, you will get an infraction or you could be banned.

All rules are subject to change of course.

Follow the Rules... Or Else...

Seriously, Follow the rules below. If you don't you will get an infraction. Two strikes and you are out for 2 weeks, we don't play hardball here. If you are really outrageous about it, you may be banned on the first time, but everyone will usually get at least one warning.

1 Infraction will usually be just a warning, and could be expunged
2 Infractions will cause you to only be able to view threads. You won't be able to post, download or PM for 14 days
3 Infractions will get you BANNED for 60 days or longer
4 Infractions could become a Permanent BAN, weighing special circumstances
5 Rule Infractions will have to be a PERMANENT BAN, no exceptions!

1. Treat the Moderators with Respect

Please treat my Moderators with respect. Talk to them the same way you would talk to me. They are what makes the site work, so treat them good.

2. Be Respectful To Others

Do not be cruel, mean, insulting, racist, or make any kind of hateful remark for no reason. We pride ourselves here on our friendliness and do not want to scare new people away. This is what sets us apart from the other sites, so please do not louse this up by talking down or belittling other members especially newbies.

3. Don't Hijack Threads

Do NOT hijack threads. This is where you post a question or comment completely unrelated to the thread. It is confusing to everyone and if there are answers to questions unrelated to the threads initial post. People in the future may not be able to find the information they are seeking by using the Search feature. Posting is free so just start a new topic in the correct section.

4. Search the Forum and READ FIRST, then Post Questions

Search the forum first for symptoms to your problem. We have numerous posts here so chances are, someone has had your same problem. Just search to see if you can find your answer in the forum first, it is faster and keeps things less cluttered for us.

5. Do Not Advertise Other Sites

We worked hard to build this site and keep it up and running. We do not want to use it for unpaid advertisments. If you post links to another site via a thread, signature, avatar, post, or profile, you will get an infraction. If you are outrageous with your posting of other sites, you will be banned.

If you want to advertise on our site, please contact the Webmaster for details.

6. User Names and Avatars

Avatars and Names may be (almost) anything you want. We are sure you can figure out what is acceptable, if you can't we will let you know.

They can not be pornographic in nature. Some things are allowed but most are not.

No registering names that are similar to any of the staff.

7. Posting Other People's Information

If you are going to post something that you read somewhere else do either of these:

1) Rewrite it, so that it is yours and not someone elses so we don't get accused of plagerism or any copyright infringement

2) Post that it came from another site. I don't want a link to the site, but please mention that you did not write it.

ie: "Guys, big news, this came directly from another reliable website."

8. Do NOT PM Mods or Admins for Help

DO NOT PM Moderators about helping you with your special situation. They are busy enough. They are not going to get to you any faster. If you post in the forum, chances are the more experienced members will get to you and help out. This way, everyone will benefit. This is a forum, not a private message haven so that you can get your own private issue resolved. PMs should only be used to send private information to someone else. Not to get support.

9. No Spamming

No spamming allowed period. This includes using pm's to send people invites that were not asked for. We encourage everyone to report any cases of spamming to the Admin and/or Mods. Please forward a copy of the Spam. If the Spam is found to be valid, the offender will be banned.

10. One User, One Account

Please only sign up once unless you are stuck and can't get your username or password because you don't have access to your e-mail. This way we can keep an accurate count of the members in the database and it isn't clogged up with fake accounts.

You understand that certain cable/satellite television equipment sold legally may nevertheless be used in an unauthorized manner to aid in the theft of cable/satellite television services. As an inducement to the dealer to sell me cable/satellite equipment, I, hereby declare, under penalties of perjury, that I understand that federal law and various state and local laws provide for substantial criminal and civil penalties for the theft of cable/satellite television services, and that all products or services that I purchase from AAAFTA, now and in the future, will not be used to intercept any cable/satellite television signal without proper authorization from my local cable/satellite company and payment of all lawful charges, and I will only use the equipment in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws.

AAAFTA is providing information to use you may use in a legitimate way as intended. It is not the intent of AAAFTA to defraud any cable/satellite company, and AAAFTA will not assist any individual in doing so. Receiving cable/satellite signals without proper payment is a crime. It is the customer's responsibility to notify their cable/satellite company of any equipment they may have, and must obtain permission to use such equipment. AAAFTA will not be held responsible for any damages physical or legally that may be incurred by the using any equipment, or using any directions, and/or whatsoever.

You must comply with all federal, state and local laws regarding private ownership of cable/satellite TV equipment. In the event that I am a member, expert, moderator, site dealer in cable/satellite television equipment, I will not advise or advertise such products or services with the intent that any users of this site purchase or use the equipment for the purpose of aiding in any theft of cable/satellite television services, nor will I sell or otherwise transfer any equipment I have purchased from AAAFTA to any third party who I know or may suspect will use any such cable/satellite equipment for the theft of cable/satellite television services. As an inducement to the dealer, I agree to indemnify AAAFTA for any liabilities, cost or expense which may incur, including but not limited to attorney fees and court costs, as a result of my breach of the foregoing declaration.

Title 47 of the United States Code 553 (a)(1) states that:

"No person shall intercept or receive or assist in intercepting or receiving any communications service offered over a cable system, unless specifically authorized to do so by a cable operator or as may otherwise be specifically authorized by law."

By browsing, signing up, or using this site in any manner you agree that he/she is of legal age and those products ordered will only be used in a lawful manner. It is the sole responsibility of the end user to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local laws when using these products.
