FTA Cool Buzz to Sonicview?

Hello there:

I notice that the Buzz S2010F is almost identical to a Sonicview 4000.
They have different boot loader and the files (Bin) are slightly different in size. (About 150000Kb). I know that one company bought the other during difficult times. I confess that I have not open them. They might have identical boards or may not.

Have anyone have try to convert the Buzz to Sonicview?

I would appreciate any info on the subject.

In advance, Thanks. (*\/*)

Re: Buzz to Sonicview?

Hello and welcome. I have never read of anyone doing this and I believe buzz once belonged to the CS team, of maybe just their coders, I can't remember exactly.

Re: Buzz to Sonicview?

The Buzz S2010F is sort of an older receiver.

The Buzz S2010F Plus is a different model, and is more like the SV-1000.

As far as the S2010F being like the SV-4000, it is way off as far as processor speed and memory. It might look similar by the looks of the casing, but inside that is where they are completely different. So I doubt you will see any conversions towards the way you would want. Software conversion packages coupled with instructions to uprade the hardware on that receiver. Sounds like too much for anyone to monkey around with.

Important Note - Any S2010F regular will stop working permanently when updated with files written for the Buzz S2010F Plus. You will kill the receiver, and it can not be recovered !!

So, check, you might have the Plus version and not be aware of it.
The latest files are still working great on the Buzz S2010F Plus.

The Buzz S2010F regular of course will always be good for True FTA use.
