Another question about the receiver
i've have read about how to do a hard boot by using the switch on the back to power off but my receiver dosen't have one , how would i do it? thanks

Your stb should have a on/off button, I can't see why it wouldn't, but if that is the case, then unplug it and plug it back in.

Yeah, I forget, I have a friend who has a Captain 7000. I cannot remember if it had a power switch or not. Just like boboisno1 says, though, jerking the plug out for a few seconds, and plugging it back in does the job!

the 7000 does not have a switch just unplug it and wait for a few sec and plug it back in
