CW4000HD and IKS?

Since the CW4000HD is already web-enabled and can download its own keys/fimware, is that not the essence of IKS? Can this unit not support IKS?

Re: CW4000HD and IKS?

If it's web enabled then they could do IKS. Its just a question of them getting off their arse and setting something up. But maybe they were just hoping that someone else comes out with the BIN file so they can copy it.

Hmmmm.... makes you wonder if the IKS companies got together and spread rumors that N3 was cracked thus making all the other companies hope and wait to get a copy of the new BIN file so they could reverse engineer it. But not knowing that there wasn't a N3 crack the companies would wait until it was too late and would die off.

This would be a hell of a way to increase sales and market share for the IKS companies!

Re: CW4000HD and IKS?

The biggest part of setting up IKS is the server development (as seen in SV's case currently). It takes a lot of time and resources and it's likely that CW isn't willing to commit to that as of yet. There was rumors of CW developing a SKS solution similar to the Majicboard that SV is/was developing but nothing of that has materialised as of yet.

I think the Majik Board is a myth or it has been abandoned because they could never get it to work. But then again they never had the motivation to get it to work but now with N3 maybe that has changed.
