CaptiveWorks 600s Premium: To ALL Premium Users 6/19/08

chancysand To ALL Premium Users Well I usually do not post much but I cannot sit back and watch everyone get so upset and throw out Rumors and speculations about the support of the Captiveworks receivers. They have been nothing less that outstanding. The last few bins I know have been slow to come out and that was for the reason to let everyone know about the problem. It got everyone’s attention I know. People are still buying Premium box when they know they are discontinued from production for months now. They have been warning about clones being the only thing left out there being sold. People choose not to believe this. They have very good records of all their Dealers and their inventory of Premium boxes. They are assured all the dealers have sold their entire Premium inventory that was bought from legit distributor. I have been assured that no Premium box sold from a dealer is a legit box anymore. One way to tell is to look at the price tag. We all know what the retail price is and what is should be. If you are buying one cheap you know it is a clone. You have been warned they are not legit. Now to address the issues: 1. Slow releases 2. Are all new premiums clones? 3. Buyback program 4. What if they clone 700 and 800? 5. Will support continue? 1.Releases should get better like they were. Slow releases were to send a message to those buying clones. Message has bent sent and received. 2.yes all new receivers sold now are Premium Clones unless it is an individual selling his older unit. 3.They are working on some kind of upgrade program for their loyal customers. Remember they have good records and will know what boxes are clones. 4.The new boxes 650, 700 and 800 are clone safe. If they ever get cloned coders can disable those boxes with software. 5.YES support as they promised will continue. They will not drop support for the Premium. If people continue to go down this road on buying clones after being warned they have other measures that can be taken to stop them with software. In conclusion it is my humble opinion that we as FTA end users now have to make a decision (an Informed one now) as what to do from here. You can choose to ignore all this, Choose to upgrade to another box of your liking, Choose to ride it out and see were it all goes or be in denial and do nothing at all and continue to support the clone industry. I for one choose to stay the Captiveworks line for my FTA needs, as I believe in the product and support. They have not let you down so far. All is good. Maybe they put a scare into you but they have not abandoned you. Something’s in life are necessary to do. |

Thank you for the information on the captiveworks boxes I have two and was looking to upgrade but not wanting to if not nessasary. I am sure my boxes are not cloned as I have had them a long time. They have been very goood to me and to work with I agree this is a good brand and was thinking about changing brand but now I know I will just stay with captiveworks after all this time the only thing that has been replaced is the null cable do to my neglect not the companies thanks you guys are the best
