WTF
Updated cw800, entered serial number and rescanned. the box is stuck on one sat and I cannot change it as the sat button enables/disables the patch on the cw800. Am I missing something or is it designed to be impossible to change satellites? I have tried the remote from 600p but they are incompatible. I would imagine the same problem exists for the 700 as the 800 and 700 remotes are the same. When I hit the sat button i get into the patch screen and only keys that will work are 000.

Have you tried to reboot the receiver from the rear power switch.
Sometimes that cures remote problems.
