Instructions For Loading the 1.93 Serial-Security Update

Is this update required?

Yes.

If you do not load the 1.93 bin, your receiver may not accept future bin files. This was more or less plainly stated in the release notes for this file.

This is a security measure for the chip was to insure that cloning of these units will hopefully be eliminated.

Instructions:

1) Go to menu, installation, antenna settings and write down all settings for each satellite you are aimed at
2) Go to System settings, then System and write those settings down
3) Go to OSD and write those settings down
4) Load the new 1.93 update and box will reboot and ask for serial number found on bottom of your receiver as well as on the warranty card
5) You will be asked to enter it twice CWS_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ nine digits
*Note - if your serial number has ten digits, only enter the first nine.
6) After entering it and it confirms it do a factory default to insure no remnants of previous bin are still on your receiver
7) Reset time zone in settings
8) Go to menu, accessories and configure state/city, scroll to state of choice and click OK, then click OK on city of choice
9) Now you are ready to reset settings listed above. As you reset each satellite, go ahead and do an "Autoscan"
When it asks FTA Channels Only click NO
10) Do this for each satellite and then exit out to view tv
11) Press the SAT button on remote and set to either Echostar Package, Nimiq Package, or All
12) Now click on the F1 Sleep button found on lower left corner of remote and "H" will display.

Enter 000 along with it and you should see "Patch Enabled" appear on screen and tv back on.
