but...Before opening your reciever,here is a way to check if your remote is busted.

Turn on your igital camera,and point the remote to the lense of the camera.Then push a button on the remote and look in the viewfinder of the digital camera.
You should see the IRD(the little plastic piece infront of the remote)shine red.
If it doesnt,your remote signal isnt getting to the reciever.
Try this trick with a remote hat is working and you will see the red IR light up when you push a button.
