The amount of channels you got is about right. When you go into antenna settings you should see a "Found 23...." message right above the Q&S readings. Try using 12224 for the transponder, and see what happens. Also did you just set up the dish or has it been used before?

Ah phase III, they are not the ideal dish, but can work if you only try for 1 sat at a time.

yea that is what I have been reading. I am getting 110 and 119 whould that still mean that I am only useing 1 lmb or am I getting them on diffrent ones. and still nothing on the channles coming in yet

If you are trying for 110 and 119 at the same time I bet that's why 110 isn't working properly.

im just trying for a sat, i had it on the 110 sat and I was moving the dish till it came in good, and when I came off the roof to look at it I saw that 119 was coming in good also. i only have one line coming from the dish

What you can do for best results is probably use the phaseIII to catch 110, don't skew it leave the skew at 0 and then use the single dish to get 119 and connect them with a good outdoor switch. There are some tips tricks and mods to a phase III but most people don't believe they are worth the hassel.

is the switch that came with the reciver any good do you know, also what is a good site that I can get the AZ and EL for the birds, I have looked at a couple site and get diffrent answers

It can work but the weather beats them up a little. What you can do is use it for now until you find a better switch or the switch goes out for good. Try dishpointer.com it has google maps and can give you a sat pic of almost exactly where you will need to point your dish.

First, if the receiver is new, did you put on the latest Factory file and enter your serial number ??
Onlt enter the first 9 digits if there are 10 digits in the serial number.
Be sure that is done first.

Then write the latest bin file 2.15
Then eable the patch.

Generally 110W is on DiSEqC 2 and Echo 7119W is on DiSEqC port 1 (you change the TP to 12239 to see Quality on this satellite)

So, you setup a satellite, red button to scan.
Setup a satellite, red button to scan.
Over and over.

Be sure in the User Menus ...
Sort By SID is ON AutoTP is ON and be sure Autoroll is ON
Your Time Zone is set to your area. Summer Time is Off.
In Local Channel Renumbering enter your nearest State and City.

After the scans, when you exit out, you may have to wait for 10 minutes for the picture to show up.

ok I switched out to the old single lmb, got the signal back, and what do you know it worked. the directv 3 lmb dish I think sucks.

The DTV Phase III LNBs have 2 oddball LNBs that get limited frequencies. There is only one good Circular LNB of the three that will work for 110W or 119W. It is best to get a Dish 500 antenna or another 18" dish with a single LNB to pickup 119W.

I had the same DTV setup as you describe. Just for grins when I received my CW800s, I used the DTV to see if I could get anything. All signals hot, but nothing at the receiver. The next week, I got my Dish with Dishpro + LNBs. I marked where I had the DTV setup pointed to use as a starting point for my Dishpro after I made the dish settings. The CW800s worked immediately and with a single tweak was working top notch. Personally, I would trash the DTV setup since it is too much hassle.
