Captiveworks CW-800S PVR - Play .gts Movies On Your Computer

I came across some information on how to watch your saved movies stored on your external drive device. The Captiveworks CW-800S PVR saves the movies with an extention of .gts

NOTE: Since the Captiveworks CW-800S PVR does not have the ability to give you an option to disconnect your USB device safely, you need to turn the power off to your PVR to prevent damage to the USB port.

What you need to do to play movies on your computer with Windows Media Players, do the following:

1. Disconnect the USB drive cable and connect to your laptop or desktop computer.
2. Create a new folder on your hard drive to place your movies.
3. Copy the movies you would like to have on your computer hard drive.
4. Go into the new folder where you copied the movies.
5. Click on the movie filename which highlights the file.
6. Right click the mouse so a box opens and select "Rename" (Windows Operating Systems)
7. Change the extention from .gts to .mpeg

To watch movies using your default media player, simply just click on the files you have changed in your new folder. Now you have a way to watch all your saved movies... This makes it nice to download movies and be able to watch them on the road!!
