Re: Need help with cw800
My first question is did you install this dish? If you did, read the below and you will probably have to put in the settings and skew your dish (on the back) to around 127 and realign for satellites. This makes the dish lean to the left and it will look funny, but it is right. If the dish was preinstalled by someone you are probably all set and good to go.
All you need to do is run one cable from the back of the dish to one of the LNB ports. (You do NOT need the DiSEqC switch you may have received with your reciever, there is a DiSEqC switch built into a DP LNB) Proper Antenna Settings: Echo 7 119W LNB Type: OCS-DP LNB Freq: 11250 DiSEqC: Port 1 TP: 12239 Echo 8 110W LNB Type: OCS-DP LNB Freq: 11250 DiSEqC: Port 2 TP: 12224 I would do a Factory Default and start Antenna Setups over again. You will NOT have to install software again to do this. Just Factory Default and setup the first satellite above. Then Hit the red button to Auto Scan Echo 7. You will notice that the satellite name you are setting up appears in the upper right also. These have to match, and then you will know you have it setup right. When the screen changes after the Auto Scan above, it is done scanning, then do the same for Echo 8 110W. After the scans are done, go into User settings, be sure AutoTP is ON, Sort by SID is ON, Long Channel Names is set to ON. Exit and if Picture doesn't come up, do not forget to hit F1 and 000 (three zeros) to enable the patch. You may also Renumber Locals by your entering your city and state. Good Luck !!

Re: Need help with cw800
Well, I hope you installed the new bin on it first. That is the only thing I can think of. And enabled the patch with F1 and 000 (three zeros).
Have you also done the factory default as I asked? You may have too many channels piling up on it. I would try it again. You also see the satellite name appear when putting in settings, right?
