CNX Mini Setup Instructions
How to Load a File on the CNX Mini Since the Mini doesn’t come with a USB Stick you have to use your own or you can go out and buy a small USB device. They are very inexpensive. -Download the Factory bin as well as the lastest EMU file posted in the File Section. -Unzip the files and extract them onto the USB device. -Flip down the front panel and place the USB device in the front port -Go to Menu>Utility>USB. After the unit recognizes the USB the files will be displayed. -Go down to the Mini Factory 6.01 and press OK. PopUp box will display 2 loading options. Select Bootloader Upgrade and press OK. After the USB Reads and Writes the unit will reboot. You can now load the latest EMU file and select that file in the USB Menu again and load the file as a SW Upgrade. Unit will reboot and you are now ready to setup your unit. Scanning Your Satellites Go to Menu Installation Channel Search or Disqec Switch Choose your sats that you are pointed to. Choose any Disqec Ports Change lnb frequency to match your setup Select any Multi Switches if applicable Select the Search button. After the scanning process the Mini will save your newly scanned channels EPG Loading Enter the Guide by pressing EPG. You will have the Option of loading Bev(Green Button) or DN(Red Button). All you have to do is press any of those 2 buttons according to what you have and the unit will go right to the EPG channel for EPG Loading. Bev will load in the matter or 20 secs for a Full 2 Days and DN will load 7 Days in the matter of 2 minutes. Satellite Packages You can choose between All, Bev, and Dish Packages. Selecting “All” will renumber Bev or DN to the 10000 prefix depending on which provider you have renumbered in the Control Panel(Default is Bev Renumbered). If you have both Bev and DN running selecting each individual Package for viewing will be much better since there will not be a 10000 prefix there for either provider. How To Adjust Picture Settings Press the “Sort” Button at the bottom left of the RCU. A popup box will appear with adjustable settings (Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, Hue and Sharpness). Editing Keys Manually You can manually edit your keys for your providers. Press Menu>Accessory>Key Works. You now have the option of Edit Keys, Reset Data, and ability of Turning Autoroll On or Off. Press OK on Key Edit. You can select your provider and edit keys in this Menu. The latest bin will roll these "keys" in for you automatically. Previous Channel You can go back to the Previous Channel by pressing the “Picture”/<-PR button directly on top of the Red STB/Divx. Theme Search By pressing “0” on the Remote the theme search engine appears. Theme packs are categorized into Movies, Sports, Adult etc. Using the Right and Left arrows on the side of the “OK” button you can navigate through the Themes. Very well laid out Themesearch Engine. Extremely nice. Local Channel Remap Press Menu>Control Panel. Scroll down to Local Area. Select USA, Your State and then your City. This is True Local Remap. Save Database You have the option of saving your scanned channels as well as your Settings. By going into the USB Menu and while having your USB storage device plugged in you can save your DataBase by pressing the “Green” Button on the remote. After a few secs it will save it to the USB. “STB_Data_SDB. If you ever have to do a Factory Default all you have to do is load your DB again and it will set your LNB settings, channels etc. It won’t save your picture settings or time. Those still have to be adjusted again. Also, if you have a Trio or Duo you can load that Database to the Mini and vice versa. So that is just a little “How To" for the CNX Mini. Have fun with it!
