Ok so im a newb to both the CNX and IKS thing.

Does CNX team usually provide the upcoming fights and PPV events?

How stable is this fight when it is showed?

Im thinking of inviting some friends over for the fight and a BBQ , but wanted some opinions before i do so.

Well NCOOLS101 IKS systems work pretty much like this if you think about it...

If there are packages available that require a purchase for a certain lengthy duration, chances are those channels will be working. Thinking about that, the Adult PPV's are probably purchased in that special block package so they are opened up all the time for the most part. This is also how regular channel packages are opened and stay working. Same with the premium channel packages (HBO, Showtime, etc.) Now individual PPV channels are not necessarily open. Sometimes on a weekend check to see if certain PPV Movie channels are open on each day. Some could be, if the IKS guys splurge that day. I am sure this would depend on the popularity of the PPV coming out on that particular release day. By the same token, a popular UFC Event or a big Prize Fight might be opened as the majority of IKS testers will probably want to view that particular event. Of course no one really knows for sure. What I would think about is if the IKS guys would want to watch it, it will probably be working. I wonder what they use to watch these events?

This also sort of explains why locals do not work. They would need something in every footprint to relay all these control words to the server. Way too many channels to worry about for the few that want them from each area. So, they pretty much focus on a mass of channels the masses can get rather than a few only a few can get.

To answer your main question, I would believe the fight will be on that night.

So, you should have 119W to get most of these channels, and you will need 455.

Thanks WC I appreciate your response. And now that i think about it i remember reading somewhere that some of the PPV channels in the 500's are only open on weekends.Thank your for a better understanding on how IKS works.

The Locals.....When i first setup the CNX w/dongle my wife said "you cant even get the locals" with over 300 channels available she wants to nag me about the locals LOL. I told her if it really ment that much to her i can switch back to our Digital input bunny ears antenna's (she declined quickly)

I am satisfied with the CNX mini so far and hopefully they will have the big fight this weekend.
