Conaxsat CNX Nano Programming Setup Help Guide
C/P Thanks goes to Just Angel Programming Via USB * Download The Latest Factory File * Download The Latest Upgrade Bin File * Download the Latest Patch File * Unzip/Extract Both Downloaded Files To Your Desktop * Plug Your USB Drive/Thumbstick Into Your PC/Laptop/Computer * Go To Start > My Computer And Find Your USB Drive/Thumbstick And Open It (ex. F:/) * Now Hold Left Click Down And Drag Both Unzipped/Extracted Files To Your USB Drive/Thumbstick Window * Once Transferred, You're Done At Your PC/Laptop/Computer * Plug USB Drive/Thumbstick Into Your Conaxsat CNX Nano (TOP) Front USB Port Located Behind The Front Panels Right Hand Side Door * Using Your Remote, Press The Menu Button * Scroll Right To Utility * Scroll Down To USB and press "OK" button from remote * Select And Highlight The FACTORY File, Press OK, And Select The "BootLoader Upgrade" Option And Press OK Again * After Reboot, Repeat Steps 10 And 11, And Select The Upgrade/BIN/FIRMWARE File (usually v2.?? / v3.??), Press OK, And Select The "S/W Upgrade" Option And Press OK Again * Your Receiver Has Been Programmed :-) *** Note: An additional 3rd file *.EXX file (known as a patch file - the * name refers to and is the date of the file). If this is the case, repeat the same steps above but load the patch file instead. There is no need to worry about the "bootloader upgrade" option or "s/w upgrade option", as there is no options available when loading the patch file. Patch file should be loaded LAST. *** If you are unsure whether you should load a patch file or not, please check the forums *** SCANNING These are settings of what I use for DP (Dishpro) LNB's and Legacy (Non-Dishpro) LNBs. LNBs are sometimes called the "eyes". This is also how and what I use to scan every single time for both types of LNBs. Individual results will vary, but if you follow exactly, you should be good to go and scanning should go well. Dish Pro Twin LNB (Echostar 7 & Echostar 8/10 Only - 2 sats) * Press the "Menu" button from remote while watching LIVE TV and/or in normal viewing mode * Press right button (dial around "OK" button) and go to "Installation" * Press down button (dial around "OK" button) and go down to "DiSEqC Switch" * Press "OK" on "DiSEqC Switch" * You should now be inside The "DiSEqC Switch" Menu * You should be highlighted on the first DiSEqC Port (DiSEqC 1) that states "None" * Click "OK" button from remote on the highlighted "None" selection * You should now see a popup window displayng all of the satellites within your CNX machine * Press down button (dial around "OK" button),look for and go down to "Echo7" * Press "OK" button from remote on "Echo7" * You should now be out of the popup window and back to and highlighted on "Echo7" * Press down button (dial around "OK" button) and go down to "11250" * Press "OK" button from remote on the highlighted "11250" * You should now see a popup window with different LNB types/frequencies * Press up button (dial around "OK" button) and go up to "Dishpro 1" * Press "OK" button from remote on the highlighted "Dishpro 1" * You should now be out of the popup window and back to and highlighted on "Dishpro 1" * Satellite # 1 (DiSEqC 1) has been setup. Move on to the next satellite below * You should now be back inside The "DiSEqC Switch" Menu * Press down button (dial around "OK" button) and go down to "DiSEqC 2" * Click "OK" button from remote on the highlighted "None" selection * You should now see a popup window displayng all of the satellites within your CNX Nano * Press down button (dial around "OK" button),look for and go down to "Echo8/10" * Press "OK" button from remote on "Echo8/10" * You should now be out of the popup window and back to and highlighted on "Echo8/10" * Press down button (dial around "OK" button) and go down to "11250" * Press "OK" button from remote on the highlighted "11250" * You should now see a popup window with different LNB types/frequencies * Press up button (dial around "OK" button) and go up to "Dishpro 1" * Press "OK" button from remote on the highlighted "Dishpro 1" * You should now be out of the popup window and back to and highlighted on "Dishpro 1" * Satellite # 2 (DiSEqC 2) has been setup. Proceed To scan below * Now that both satellites are setup let's scan for channels * Press down button (dial around "OK" button) and go down to "Search" * You should now be in the "Satellite Search" window * It may take a minute for it to start scanning, but nonetheless, let it be and let it do its thing * Press "OK" button from remote when scanning has completed. * You are now done scanning. Note: *** If using a DiSEqC switch, youre port settings may be different than what I have used above. If this is the case, setup your sats on each DiSEqC option according to what YOU have setup on YOUR switch's ports. *** Note: *** If using a Legacy Twin LNB, be sure to set your "Multi-Dish Switch" setting to SW42 Dish1 for Echo7 119w and SW42 Dish2 for Echo 8/10 110w within the "Channel Search" menu***
