I have a Coolsat 4000pro but the factory Bin120 tells me plus? Do you know any way to convert to pro like I have??

This is a factory file for both models...

Coolsat 4000Pro and 4000Plus Factory Bin Files

You cannot change a Plus to a Pro or vice versa.
A factory file will not make a conversion or anything.

Keep in mind if you have other Coolsats, the Plus needs a null modem serial cable. The other Coolsats all use a regular serial cable. Use the null modem cable to write to the Plus model, and it should work fine with the same files.

Well I am confused because My box reads in RED in bottom 4000pro and I removed the cover and their is a white sticker inside that reads 4000pro ver1.20! My problem is the SYS INFO reads H/W version 1.00 and Boot version 1.10 which is for the PLUS and not the pro. I need 1.50 and 1.20 don't I?? THANKS FOR THE FAST reply back!!!

I tried to help you above with that information. Did you try to write the factory file in the link above ?? If the receiver says Plus on it, use a null modem cable. If the receiver has Pro on it, use a straight wired serial cable. Also use the loader that is included in that file archive.

Once the factory file is written okay, you probably will have the proper boot version you are seeking installed as a result. After loading that factory file, you can go ahead and load the latest bin file. I would not rely on version information. I am sure if the housing says Plus on it, it is a 4000Plus, and if it says Pro on it, it is a 4000Pro. The only thing different between them is the cable type used. The software files are the same now for both models.

Okay and thank you the (Brown) cable I used with the 4000 Pro (Straight Cable) is recognized and writes the 120Bin fine but I get Plus in the Sys Info and the Plus reads. The (Black) cable (Null) is not recognized to write which should be for the Plus so if I am right here the Black should have written for me and gave me the Plus? The Brown should of gave me what I should have but don't have? This is why I say I am lost not because I haven't respected the Help!! THANKS once again for listening but I am stil confused with it all!!!
