Do any one know if Coolsat 6000 is still a good system to be used.
Is their new files for it.

There hasn't been a new file for this receiver lately. We suspect they may have stopped supporting the Coolsat 4000, 5000 and 6000, but, that has not been disclosed yet by the NORW Group. I would stay away from those Coolsat models, and get a newer receiver. Actually, I would get Viewsat Ultra or a Sonicview SV-4000 if you are looking for a good first receiver.

yes theres alot of people that got coolsats in the last year and now they pull this on the bin releases for the 4,5,6000 i wouldnt buy another coolsat ever not even the newer models what happens if they want to make a 6200 just stop supporting the 6100 next so i would just take a look in the files section and see which brands have great support and pick one of those

i agreed. Must likely, Support for their newest model will disappear eventually too.

the best fix for these older model coolsats is an upgrade to another stb try viewsat it has great support and very user friendly

Yeah, then before you know it, Viewsat will be plagued just like the rest of them, wait until the last minute to release the BIN all to find out its no good anymore. Too bad none of us CS owners knew about getting screwed with support earlier. I guess you live and learn.

so i am taking from this conversation the cs 6000 is and will be dead.. that is real nice cs, you buy a name brand that is trusted and well known then the f*&k you. oh well its boating season lol

cs6k is good receiver mean was good receiver but its time to move on with beter suports receivers i bought one n-f and looking to buy different brand still thinking wich one will be good

hey buddy check out the reciever review section of the forum, alot of the newer stb have been posted. alot of new ones hitting the markey, the sv360 elite and premiere, the icon, satopia 1100, k1 and k2 heros, then you still have the cw,sv4000, and viewsats that have outstanding support.

yep its all a game. not to long ago i updated to a captive works 700. i really like. but i also have a nfusion for back up. so i guess its all up to what ever you want to do.

yeah nfusion seems like the way to go for iks, until the neo gets the hiks going, then they will be able to compete a little more with nfusion. seems like the last few updates from neo hasnt been the best fixes for them thats for sure but i wouldnt count them out of the game just yet...

The support for cs has been lacking for sure and i think my next unit will be cw as well but in the mean time my old reliable vs platinum along with, like you said buddy, the nfusion is a great back up.
