Do you mean you are are seeing "Scrambled or Bad Channel" for DN channels?

I would put it on channel 200 for awhile. Like 10 minutes.

Give me your dish type and settings if you get no picture.

I am also getting an intermittent connection problem here on the site tonight. I do not know if it is the server or my ISP. So, I may not be able to help here for very long, until this problem goes away.

Hi Woodcreeker,
My antenna is pointing towards DN 61.5 W. Do I need to check for any particular channel first to see if I get video and audio. I even restarted my receiver from back couple of times but it didn't help me. Please advice.

Okay, guess what, I am firing up my Diamond 8000P right now as we speak. I can tell you that you cannot get HD channels on DN with that receiver. There is an upgrade that needs to be performed on HD receivers, and there is no such upgrade board for the Digiwave Diamond 9000HD receivers. I would try a standard definition channel and see if the picture comes in off of it. Try channel 573 or 574 to see if you get these preview channels, then we know you are actually on that satellite. Then turn it to 716 and let it sit there for 10 minutes.

Looks that way to me also. The file was encoded with a filename date. Since there is nothing said from this third party coding group other than file releases, and I can only assume it means it works for that date. That means the DN ECM occurred on 7-02-08, so the file may not reflect the DN change. I have heard it works for BEV, so that goes along with my hypothesis.

They have released files previously that didn't work for both providers. All I can do is post files that are released, and we have to test and see if they work or not I guess. If you are primarily seeking 3rd party support, I would get another receiver brand.

dkverma is looking for a working file for DN on the Echo satellites.

I can install DirectTV dish and point to BEV 82 in Texas. Will I get signal for that satellite here in Texas, USA.

You can try it. From you Nimiq 1 is about due south, probably around a 50 elevation at least. Nimiq 1 has the bulk of the channels on it. Nimiq 2 which has primarily the HD channels, is about 9 degrees to the East if Nimiq 1, and just a hint lower. I would try to get Nimiq 1 if I was you.

Thanks for the info. I am not very good at pointing the antennas. I will try it this evening. I have DN 500 pointing towards 61.5W and another DN 1000 plus for 110, 119, and 129. And if put another DTV antenna pointing in between this 2 antennas, I should be able to catch 82 W I believe. Please correct me if I am wrong. I will post my findings soon. Do you think Satellite Finder from Fry's will be helpful in locating the Nimiq#1 satellite.

Thanks woodcreeker. I installed another antenna pointing towards BEV 91 and I am getting many channels now. I spent last 4 days figure out 131p was not working for DN only.
