help with 110 and 119
Hopefully this will be a quick question.
I have a single lnb (for now) and I am picking up 110 and 119, both have 73 S and 100 Q. When I point to 119 and then search for channels, it brings the channel list in but when I try to view any channel the channel numbers at the bottom just start scanning through all of the channels automatically and then goes to the Direct TV screen/wallpaper and just stays there???? If I go back to 110 everything works fine? Can anyone straighten me out? Thanks. |

goinsr, You would have to move the dish to target 119. Now if you have a Motor on your dish you could target most Satellites out there providing you had the right LNB...

goinsr, I don't understand this.
Then change the Antenna Set-UP Satellite EchoStar 7 119W LNB Power = On LNB Type = OCS-DP or type LNB Freq = 11250 22KHz = OFF TP Freq = 12239 Diseq C 1.0 = PORT 1 Motor = OFF Legacy SW = NONE Satellite EchoStar 8/10 110W LNB Power = On LNB Type = OCS-DP or type LNB Freq = 11250 22KHz = OFF TP Freq = 12224 Diseq C 1.0 = PORT 2 Motor = OFF Legacy SW = NONE perhaps this will help you. |

Re: help with 110 and 119
No I'm not "getting both" but I am getting a strong signal on both. When I change sat's in the menu I don't get any channels from 119 even after searching. 110 still works great.
Sorry for all of this confusion. Bottom line, I need more than one lnb correct? |

Re: help with 110 and 119
Unless you have a twin LNB there and you are calling it "one" LNB.
If it is a twin, which is typical, then you have two LNB and you need to adjust skew on the dish to bring in 119W. Looks like you are using an IRD to tune the dish which is ok but you need the STB to set it up. What STB do you have? If you actually do have a single LNB in the true sense of the word, then you can pick 110 or 119 for now. Stick to it and set it up. When you get the other LNB later on, worry about the other sat at that time. Good Luck |

Re: help with 110 and 119
priestmill,
Thanks for the reply and the help. I bought this dish at an auction ($5.00) and it does only have one lnb. I am looking at the Dish 1000 with the three lnb's, 110, 119 and 129. This would take care of it for me correct? Thanks to all that are trying to get me figured out |

goinsr, Dish 1000.2 will target 110/119/129, If you are living in the Eastern Zone mid West look for 1000.4 and you will target 61.5/72.5/77. This all depends on where you reside in the US....

Re: help with 110 and 119
Ok, that's clear. Thanks. I would refer to lyngsat or dishchannel to find
what channels you would be most interested in. 110 or 119. Lock on to it and when you get the s/dish work with it then. Keep in mind with the 110-129 SD, when you adjust it for 119 the other two will come in on their own but you need to recheck to be sure you max the Q on all three. Most important, to get a good Q on 129, you have to give up a little on 110 and 119. A little info on Eastern Arc, programming there is Nagr3a and MPEG4. You won't get anything for now until N3 if figured out. Also, MPEG4 is a compression type to pack in a lot more data as HD TV needs. So it means typically, you need a HD receiver. Hope this helps. |

Re: help with 110 and 119
redneck, when your searching for signal on 119 change your transponder to 12239.
You should have 119 on port 1 and 110 on port 2. Try these settings. Echo 7 119W LNB Power: On LNB Type: OCS-DP LNB Freq: 11250 22KHz: Off TP: 12239 DiSEqC: Port 1 Motor: Off Legacy SW: None Echo 8 110W LNB Power: On LNB Type: OCS-DP LNB Freq: 11250 22KHz: Off TP: 12224 DiSEqC: Port 2 Motor: Off Legacy SW: None

Re: help with 110 and 119
If your dish is a DishPro Plus, you only want one connection from the port marked 119 to your receiver. This LNB has a built in switch. Your receiver will make the changes for you if you have it set as Spyder suggested. The one marked 110 can be used for a 2nd receiver. There should be no switch between this type of LNB and your receiver.

Re: help with 110 and 119
I bought sonicview 360 it came with a spliter that has 4 connections for lnb 1,2,3,4 than one to reciever. I have it set up on the eyes 110 to lnb 1 and 119 to lnb 2 so you saying unhook 110 completly and leave 119 hooked up to port 1
