ok i one of my friends have directv that lives in the country with alot of mountains and they had dishnetwork come there and said they couldn't get dishnetwork there but have directv with 97% quality ok 1st question what satellites does directv usally point at? 2nd question : its there any way i could get fta satellite at that house 3rd question: does directv satellites do fta like satellite 101?

No fta dtv is available, but I am surprised that dn didn't work if dtv did.

ther have there dish on like a 10 ft or maybe higher tripod lol i tryed hooking my box to it but wouldn't pick up there directv box was on 101 satellite but didnt no if anyother so i just swaped boxes and nuttin what u think

The lnb for dtv might not work, it might also be that 101 is the only dtv sat that is available. But your receiver won't work with 101 anyways.

ok the satellite dish is like the size of a dish 500 has 3 lnbs on it what receiver would i need or what could i do without taking the tripod down can i get a receiver to just hook up and get 101 or whatever satellites it aimed at now i no it deffentley aiming at 101 dont no if any other ..

You might be able to get one sat with the dish. Odds are its a phase III and they are only good for one sat without an lnb modification.

so its not eeven work messing with then right whats 101 get anything good like ppvs or hbo's is it worth it or no

ya im gunna see if they are aimmed at more then one satelllite if they are i should be in better luck i hate to change there dish or @#$% with it b/c they pay for directv now and i were to put a new dish up it looks like a pain in the @@@
