The newest slimline dish covers 5 sats. 99,101,103,110, & 119. 103 has directv hd channels, but I think you need a bigger dish & linear lnb. I believe its built into the slimline dish.

Satman I understand that.Thank you for explaining.But dtv is at 102.8W not 103.When someone writes 103 then I look at 103.I don`t tinker with dtv so I can`t help any further.

Your right about it being 102.8, But directv got into the bad habit of calling it 103. It hasn't changed since they started using this term.

So you can not use a regular 18 inch dish and standard lnb for 102.8 or 99 on hd from direct tv . he needs to get the bigger dish
