Where should i mount this dish 500 pro to get HD?

next to my current dishes which point the other direction or on the back side of the roof pitch... note the huge tree across the street

You would want to mount it as close to the Dish 500 you have as you can, probably right next to it would suffice. The direction the dish will be facing is around an Azimuth of 150 and an elevation of 50. Since you are only going to get signal from one satellite with that, you can mount the dish level, as no skew is needed. When you join the 2 dishes with a switch, you will need to minimize the cable length in between the dishes.

Check the direction of the aim, I think the tree is out of the way.

Do not forget to just wire it into the receiver directly just to get signal, and use DiSEqC Off because it is wired directly, and use at least TP 12297 or TP 12326 to find a signal.

Always be sure the power to the receiver is Off from the rear power switch when you are working on the LNB wiring. The receiver sends power out to the LNBs, and you would not want to short out a switch or do something worse.

ok it should be skew 90 which is plate default

i set the mast to level... AZ to 150 E to 50

moved AZ back and forth and E up and down

nothing.... hmmmmm

got it to work

had to use transponder higher than 13326

signal is mid to high 60's
Q is 90-99%
