1-To get attention-Maybe wants his owner to give him a treat.
2-Plesay barking-Some Dogs give a short little barks to try to engage other pets or people in play.Often is accompanied with a play bow and or wagging tail.If the Dog start barking excesivelly stop playing and let it calm down.
3-Warnings barks-Start barking when someone approaches the door,ie.The Watch Dog Bark.The dog barking becomes more rapid as the stranger approaches,and the dog may grow as well.Use a command to indicate your dog that he should stop barking,(Enough)is popular.Say it in a firm low tone of voice and be consistent,praise your dog when he is quiet.Dont loose patient,it takes time to reinforce the right behavior.
4-Barking because is bored-This barking often causes a problem,especially with neighbors.The dog sits outside and barks (while driving the neighbors crazy)because he dont have nothing else to do.Make sure he gets plenty of excercise.Give the dog a toy,for example,a Tong toy.These are rubber toys with a hole trough the middle.Dogs can spend a lot of time gnawing on the toy and occasionally getting a small tasty reward as the treats are gradually woked out.
5-Ansiety barking-Some dogs suffer from separation ansiety when they are left alone.It seems unable to stop themselves,and the more they bark,they seem to need to continue to bark.Is very difficult to manage this type of barking.
6-Im here barking-Thats when the neighbors dog start barking and then you heard that a bunch of others ,join in.They bark to communicate that they are in the area.
