We think it is important to have a PLi® image twice a year available in summer and winter.

Therefore, we have decided to make a steady Release Candidate public. As it is a steady Release Candidate, you might run into some unknown bugs.

Please report any issues or bugs on our forum, so we can fix it before the final release of Jade.


Highlights:

Network Mounts Fixes:
- If a network mount is edited in the web interface, it's automatically unmounted
- Use udhcpc config/deconfig script
* This solves the problem samba fails to start in case the DHCP assigns another hostname


Network Mounts Features:
- Complete redesigned network mount screen
- DM7000 allows NFS V3 mounts too
- Support for NAS devices which cannot handle cifs Linux extensions
- /VAR can be easily moved to a network mount


Web Interface Fixes:

NTSC TVs

On the initial bootup your screen may be rolling, making it hard to select your TV system type. Once the Video settings screen is visible, press down twice and right 3 times on your remote to set the DB to NTSC & save the changes.

North American Circular LNB

PLi® Jade has added extra support for North American circular LNBs like those used by DN & Bev. On initial setup, after chosing your diseqc type as normal...



... you'll be taken to a new menu where you can chose your default LNB type.



Selecting "DISH LNB for North America & Canada" sets the default LOF/H to 11250 as used by 82, 91, 110, 119, etc...



On the following screen...



... just select "Yes" and discard the elements.


DM500-s Users

The DM-500-s image now disables "Fast Zapping" by default. This is unnecessary for the majority of users, but some have had audio/video sync problems with it enabled. Most users will be want to reenable the option from the System Settings menu for quicker channel changes.
