Need Help Setting up !!

I actually need to hook up 2 receivers (Stealth and Apache). I have a Dish 1000 with DPPlus Twin and a DP Dual for the 110,119,and 129 satellites. The thing I can't understand is how can the two receivers have 2 totally different Signal Qualities. The Apache had an 80% and the Stealth had a 9%.

Even before I even checked the Apache, I had a 99% Signal and 0% Quality on the Stealth. I have all the settings correct, but do I need to hook up a DiSEqC switch or a DP44 switch or anything?

Please help!!!

The Stealth is on Port 1 and the Apache is on Port 2. They both have the same settings.

Re: Need Help Setting up !!

On the DPP LNB there are two ports right next to each other. That is where the two wires run all the way into the back of the receivers from there. You do not need the DiSEqC switch hooked up if you used one. The DPP LNB has a DiSEqC switch already built into them. The lone LNB should be wired into the lone Port on the DPP LNB, and if you look closely, it will say LNB IN on that port.

The DPP LNB goes towards the West and the lone LNB towards the East in the dish brackets on the end of the dish arm.

For settings, use...
LNB Type: OCS-DP
LNB Freq: 11250
DiSEqC Ports 119W is Port 1 ... 110W is Port 2 ... 129W is Port 3
Just like someone mentioned above.

Good Luck !!

Re: Need Help Setting up !!

Thanks. I am going to try again tomorrow morning. But the thing I can't understand is how one signal strength is at 86% and the other at 5%.

Like it was explained above by woodcreeker the DiSEqC switch is not needed. Thats why you are getting diffrent level signals.

hope it all goes well in the morning.

Re: Need Help Setting up !!

I didn't use the DiSEqC switch and the LNBs are set up the way woodcreeker advised of above. The only thing I can think that it might be, is a bad coax jumper.
