FTA Question Viewsat Ultra lite longer EPG?
hello does anyone know if its possible to get a longer Electronic programming guide than just 2 or 3 hours in advance. the setup in question is a DN 500 dish and lnb and a viewsat ultra lite the system has been running smoothly for months now however the guide only seems to display what is on at the moment and will not display what will be on past 2 or mabey 3 houres from the present if the viewsat ultra lite cant do this does anybody know of a reciever that can?? any help is much appreciated thank you.

I'm not familiar with Viewsat so I can't tell you how the EPG works.

I guess there must be the option to set the EPG for up to five or six days under the Menu Option.Check in the User Setting or System Setting.

I get up to five days of EPG on my SV360 Elite.

Under User Setting/EPG setting, you should be able to set it to receive up to 7 days of programming.....I recommend no more than three days though as it takes alot of memory to store the EPG. Also, make sure that your time is set correctly or it will mess up the EPG.

Use channel 239 wgn for populating the extended epg. Turn off the back power switch then again and leave it there for a few minutes.

You can also do a factory default 3 times then before you load the latest file you can change epg from 1 to 24 hours make sure its set to 24 hours then load latest sat file latest file reset antenna settings rescan for channels , set time to auto set time to summer time on and GMT offset time to your area should be gtg then
