does not boot all the way

hello every one i have a question on a flu that I'm testing is there a reason why when i turn off stb with the remote and try to turn stb back on it gets stuck on (ON)..then what i do is hit the switch on the back of the stb so it could boot all the way up until it goes to the channel..so what i have been doing is not turning off the box and it works great, but is there something better that i can do.i have not yet loaded 207v2 yet..
