Fortecstar liftime ultra

I tried to convert but no luck.

http://www.aaafta.com/forum/lifetime...jtag-easy.html
I open the fortecstar loader check boot, put the model, file b75_m.bin, turn receiver on press down load and I get a error by jhd, sorry connection fail.

I am using a null modem wire, if that matters.

thanks

Re: Fortecstar liftime ultra

unknown, You will need a straight through cable for that reciever, null modem cable has a couple of wires crossed and will not work.

Re: Fortecstar liftime ultra

What does a straight cable look like and/or What do you call it?

Is it a rs232 I find one on ebay. It says for pansat. If that is the one do I have to get a specific for Fortec or there all the same.

Re: Fortecstar liftime ultra

straight cable and null cable look the same the diference is inside, the straight cable pin #1 connect to the other pin #1 , pin 2 connect in the other pin2 and then so, in null cable in not that way, null is 2to3,4to6, 5to5,7to8. So if you want to load fortec, need a straight cable, now what does your recivier display when turn it on?, does it display b60 or b75 or puff ? remember, you have to convert to Lmaz P.U.F.F. with dots.
Ah, straight cable is for pansat 2500 also.
