Nag3/N3 - The fight is on
Looks like the fight is on between Viewsat and Sonicview to see who cracks the Nag3 first. If this is true, things are looking good. I just picked up this on an official file release site:

Major progress has been made and things are starting to fall in place. The N3 we have all known is really not N3 at all but more like a N1.9. Yes that’s right, it isn't anymore advanced then the N2 we are using now. More info to come as things progress but things are definitely on the upside.

SV has a good coding team and they should be commended for their strong skill to surpass many others the last few weeks. Sometimes taking the time out to make implementation of good code pays off and SV sure has proven this. However don’t count VS out just yet. VS have been busy with N3 and now that they have progressed on N3 and met their main hurdle that they had set out… (Yes I said that N3 is now a few steps closer to a reality) With that said look for BEV to be returning to FTA in the near future.

There was a purpose to my starting this thread apart from the news I posted from January 2009. I wish I could find the thread were I posted the reason for the delay. Why some receivers had received their new cards and others not. That is why DN has not completely gone over to Nag3.

Sorry to have to move this to the rumor section on you Ladybbird, but until nag3 is proven to work with a stand alone file we really have to treat this as a rumor. I do believe there might be some merit it what they are saying, but I also have to add that there is a rumor that some Coolsat receivers will be up soon as well. We have to wonder if it is just a sales tatic by the manufacturers or a reality.
