N3 is nothing more than N2 wrapped with betacrypt, & the 3rd party coders already have s/w for betacrypt to get the keys, keys are very long, but can be gotten.

As far as the new cards..
Rom 142 is already open in europe & is same as rom 240 & they've already dumped ram.

All in all N3 actually limits their abilities they have, compared to now. They def won't be changing keys as often, and ECM's will be more difficult.

At this time there is no true N3 Hack for anything.. This won't be for long though

N3 is nothing more then a tweaked N2 and the ones who got you through MAP57 in 2006 are on it

All in all, when Dish makes the full switch, expect the fix to be released, until then hold your horses.

Supposedly in March, Mr. Charles Ergen (CEO) of DN "announced in a Memo to the (SI) department that he would be releasing the (G4) card for all PPV Movie, PPV Sports, and all PPV Porn Channels within the next few months for all (VIP) model MPEG4 boxes.
I believe this is a calculated move to counter any and all (loopholes), and or (backdoors) that some (NDS) and (Kudelski Group) coders might have left into their older system Nagra1 and Nagra2 encryption systems that Nagra3 is based on.
This would of course circumvent all work hackers have done up to this time on Nagra3 systems to date, and will cause all the work done up to this point to be worthless. I personally believe this may have been his plan from the beginning and force hackers to stop work on the new system and to wait for the release of Nagravision (G4) cards.

Now, if this is true, it must mean they have got wind Nag3 is cracked. Dont know why they dont just give up and put FTA down to profit loss and apply for tax relief.

Recently, popular satellite television provider Echostar Communications launched Nagravision 3 encryption on its Canadian Bell ExpressVU service offering. The new security measure required the replacement of prevision Nagravision 2 based conditional access modules (CAMs) on all subscriber equipment in order to dicipher paid satellite programming. EchoStar also plans to deploy Nagravision3 technology among its U.S. Based Dish Network subscriber network in the last quarter of 2008 with full implementation to begin in the first quarter of 2009.
Shortly after the Nagravision 2, it did not take members of the hacking community long to work around the newer encryption technology. Soon just about every model of modified receiever and card programmer were able to circumvent the outdated technology and were again wathcing unencrypted programming without paying for it, which is illegal in most jurisdictions.
While Nagravision 3 has been existent and relatively unchallenged in other markets, the recent migration to Nagravion 3 on the Bell ExpressVU system has resulted in an increased effort to cirumvent the new technology. Former Bell ExpressVU recipients using illegal equipment either switched over to receive Dish Network programming or began using a box from the manufacturer Nfusion. This Nfusion box to date remains the only modified Free-to-air satellite receiver to receive scrambled Nagravision 3 Bell ExpressVu media content.
Through a process of placing an emulated image of the new card and its decryption ability of an actual paying subscriber, the decryption keys are disseminated to other systems through an internet connection to the server. While this method allows for the viewing of some pay tv content, it does not provide for the viewing of extra paid services such as special event and pay-per-view programming. The future of Nagravision 3 encryption technology is uncertain. Many in the underground community have made claims that the new technology has already been cracked and that when Dish Network takes the plunge and implements the technology, a worldwide release of a fix will be released. Nagravion3 maintains a constant involvement with these underground communities and will be moniotoring any advances made in the hacking of the technology and will inform you of such activity here.

I am confident it will be cracked if it is not already. as long as there is electronic security and encryption there will be hackers I am not worried I think absolute worst case scenario we will have to buy new boxes but I really don't think that's the case if they started scrapping All of there old boxes then I would be worried but that's not the case I know a guy whos using a 7 year old DN box and its compatible with N3 I'm no expert but if the coders aren't worried im not going to worry the FTA community has seen 2 of these big encription changes and everytime it gets cracked sure it gets more complex every time but thats technology only thing we can really do is wait and enjoy the ride (=

Wow, Viewsat talks a whole lot. (which isn't neccesarily a bad thing) I just wonder why others like sonicview have not seemed to mention a thing? I know sonicview was able to stabilize a fix for 6 months without getting touched by any ecm's.

I'm new to the whole FTA scene, but in my experiance I've had a conaxsat for about 3 months but it's been very good to me.I definately got my money's worth, but I hope they fix this N3 deal. Conaxsat so far has fixed any ECM's in the past 3 months within 3 to 5 hours(except one time), so i have complete confidence in those fine folks. Keep up the good work.

I'm probably wasting my time, but i will try to explain this "game" one more time...
First off, this is *NOT* a hobby for the "Coders" ths is BIG business.Without the bin files, sales are stagnant at best. The "Coders" write these files because the FTA box manufactures PAY them BIG bucks to do so! They literally create a "Supply & Demand" system.
The "Coders" have something the box manufactures need to survive.When Dish went totally N3,sales stop. When files become available,boxes fly off the shelves. The first to do so realize major sales. Sonicview is making a TON of money on the I-hub, selling a $20 Dongle for $100 and will continue to do so until others get the new files or Sonicview releases them.
Will your old box work with N3?......
More than likely so. The average FTA box has more memory,faster hardware then the junk Charlie has in subscriber's homes.
Basically speaking, the *MAJOR* differances between Nagra-2 and Nagra-3 are this. Nag-2 was a 40 bit word,Nag-3 is 128 bit. The "CAM" or card has all new MAP routines as well as timing issues. Your FTA box simply EMULATES *ONE* of these routines, the one currently in service. A copy of the MAP and timing are stored in the NOVRAM/EEPROM. It pretends to be a subscribed box,hence the "Cardless" approach. Chances are good that your box WILL work.
Will the "Coders" be able to make it all work?....
Oh yeah...if this was 1970 i would say probably not, but the "Coders" have equipment as good or better than Kuldelski's group. These guys are *SHARP!*
Remember that the *KEY* to this whole issue is the CAM or smartcard and whats contained in it, the rest is hardware. The "Coders" extract this info from issued cards and subscribed boxes. Combine this with people that can be "Bought off" (everyone has their price) the info needed to make a complete Emulation is out there.
To the people that INSIST on asking stupid questions.....
STOP BEGGING FOR FILES! I am sure ALL sites will post/share them as soon as they get/test them themselves!!
NONE and i mean NONE of the old files will work with N3. The requests for files just clogs up the servers of all the sites, just stop it. When they are released, the news will spread like wildfire, you WILL know about it. (unless you live under a rock in the desert).
This is just my 2 cents, your views will vary i am sure.
Until then, play with true FTA, there is a ton of GREAT stuff floating around out there to watch. invest in a 30 to 39" dish and a linear polarity LNB.
