Attached is the legal info for the next hearing on 22 April. One dealer did not respond. This may be the reason we have had no new bin files for either Coolsats or Visionsats.

Do all the other companies that sell sat boxes go about there bin files as CS did? I have asked about the Sonicveiw 360 elite herd good things about it. I just dont want to spend the money to find out that they are getting draged into court. Thank you.

There has been court cases for almost every maker of fta receivers for about 2 years or so now.

In a case like this, the main focal point for pirates must be to review the case and ensure the end user information is not being produced. If the items were to say:

* Any and all documents reflecting payment and/or shipping to customers within the U.S.

or something along those lines, then it is time to run. Lol. It would be a huge case, but I wouldn't doubt it one bit. Anyone who purchases over the net has to provide information for shipping, and some minor data to prove the payment was supplied to the seller.

Very tough to enforce, easy ways around this. Many folk here do it by various ways to avoid the exhorbitant import taxes they charge here.

I have read, when I was researching this, how some cases were thrown out, when they tried to prosecute some end users. I will try to find those reports again.

Piracy is illegal, FTA is NOT. Freetech have been trying since 2007 to win in these legal cases, each and every way. They are nuts, one day someone will come to his senses and realise they are losing more money in legal fees than they are in subscriptions. HO!HO!HO! I remember years ago it was tried against radio stations and they eventually gave up. (One great station started an example by transmitting from a boat way out to sea.

I believe the coders are awaiting the outcome of this case to see where they go from there. I think that is why they may have moved premises. If they thought all was lost, why would they bother movingand announcing it, why not just shut up shop?
