i hub is dropping in price fast is it a sign?

I have been watching the price of sv's ihub and for months it sayed steady at $100

In the last 2 weeks it has dropped to $50. Could this be a sign?
I'm wondering if sv is trying to dump off all the remaining ihubs because they know the nag 3 fix is comming soon making the ihub obsolete.

Does sv know something?

Re: i hub is dropping in price fast is it a sign?

These so called authorized dealers (3) are selling them on baye for
a cent (starting bid) and at the same time one of them are bidding
them for one cent and at the same time "buy it for" 84USD.

Don't trust them. Although they carry the authorized dealer sticker
they have been removed from the sonicviewusa authorized dealers
list.

At your own risk.

Hey PM, good morning. I seem to remember a while back seeing a couple of different reports that the release would come in August/September??

Re: i hub is dropping in price fast is it a sign?

If they are dropping in price it's only because they are selling so well, but like PM says the price you see can be deceiving. 50$? If it sounds too good to be true.....

Lets not forget that there is always a premium you pay when you are the first to buy a new technology especially in the FTA world! So this could just be the natural order of it all.

This could be the best thought. If the item is in high demand, the price usually won't drop until the supply starts getting more available than the demand. Of course, the idea about buyer beware should always be on your mind if it looks to good to be true. Caveat Emptor applies.

Re: i hub is dropping in price fast is it a sign?

Hello to you too Ladybird and everyone.

Yes, it has been said late August.

But you know how that is.

The iHUB is working extremely well now with minimal freezes
and shut downs for upgrades. The SV iHUB factory files are
now released too which will allow for the (medias) and network
upgrade. Remains to be seen but you can expect a good bin
along soon enough and maybe out of beta. What I'm saying
really is SV are taking iHUB very very serious and is an indication
no N3 hack or bin are close by, not by the SV team at least.

Hmmm, well you are usually right about things PM, but I am of the opinion that SV are out to make as much money as they can, while they can, from this iHUB. Lets face it, from a business point of view, obviously sales on receivers are down, so sales of the iHUB are continuing to "pay the bills". I am torn between voting on two dates 16th of August and 11th September before/if any bin is released. However my little Irish twiddly psychic bits, which normally function well, are not twitching just now.

I kind of disagree with Lady, I think a bin is a long ways away, this is partly based on what you wrote or something that I think you wrote. Basically the other N2 and other such cracks came based on the needed info being leaked. $250,000 can cause a leak or two, but now the providers are protecting it like it's their only child. So until someone is sneaky enough to get the data out and I would think that there would be safeguards similar to what the CIA uses. There will be no hack. Not to mention if Sonicview does get it that there won't be a bin file at least not until someone else releases it. All the info will come from the IHUB!

But I hope you are right. This is one of the the few times I would like to be wrong!

Side note: $250k offer was before Mr.VS was brought up on charges. With all the recent lawsuits, I'm sure that many would-be N3 crack buyers will be hesitant. (I sure would).

I agree, I believe we're at the mercy of some lucky event. All we need is a very disgruntled employee, some good costumes, and that pulley system used by Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible to get the NOC list

On a serious note though, I really hope that I'm wrong. I would love nothing more than to come home to TV rather than a list of Chores :/

don't buy from anyone until you go on ebay. during the morning hours you can pick up an sv ihub at close to $50.00 w/free shipping pay with pay pal and there is no way you can lose.

I got mine off of EBAY. Just look for a dealer that has a lot of sales. The dealer I bought it from sells just FTA and has had over 2000 sales so I would think that they would be a safe bet!

looks can be decieving
I would think that it would be hard to have over 2000 sales of FTA receivers and related equipment off of EBAY with well over 99% approval from your customers and be a fraud. My IHUB worked that I bought from them. I am contemplating buying the SV8000 from them but I will wait until I find out who has the NHL Centre Ice package.

Re: i hub is dropping in price fast is it a sign?

Well it is going for $20 less than when it first came out; thats a steep drop in price. From $99 to $79 at the SViHub site. For something that is supposed to "get the job done" why drop your price by 20%? To entice new customers who are skeptical? OR to liquidate your supply before there is no more demand? OR tapering off sales?

Re: i hub is dropping in price fast is it a sign?

Um the demand has been going through the roof. Like I said FTA equipment always has a premium for the first buyers.
