Michael Pancer is a very senior Criminal Defense Lawyer. This is surely a Civil Legal Proceeding. Pancer is and has defended many high profile criminals, including one on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted List and is at present defending a man about to be executed for the kidnapping and murder of a child. Doesn't make sense that he would go backwards in his career to take on a small case such as this.
