hi every1 im trying to download a loader for coolsat 7100 micro-PVR and every time I unzip it, I have an empty folder. can anyone help and tell me what am I doing wrong?? thanks for the help

Hello and welcome. Are you right clicking on the file and choosing "Extract All"?

yes I am and after it finish download I end up with an empty folder so I don't know what I'm doing wrong.... thx for welcome me

Right click on the folder then click on properties and see if will tell you what size the file is.

I did that and this is the size 130 KB (133,393 bytes) but why when I unzip it the folder come out empty?

There is a folder with a zipper on it, and a folder without a zipper on it. The loader is probably in the folder without the zipper on it. Also, you may want to see where the extracted files are going. All you had to do was double click the folder without the zipper.

This is why boboisno1 wants you to right-click your mouse when your mouse pointer is hovering over the .zip folder, and then select Extract Here. Then you will know where the loader program file is. It should appear right next to the .zip file where you are.

ok I don't know what I'm doing wrong but scan is find after scan it goes on the EPG where as I can see what's going on on those channels but when I turn to a channel it says scrambled channel...... how do I use a usb because the coolsat 7100 micro-PVR that I'm testing does not read the file...I don't know if it because it does not unzip corrwectly or am I suppose to do something else with it.....please help me because I've been trying for 5 days now and I read most of the post thx for your help

Which provider are you trying to test... DN or BEV ??

Let us know which satellite dish you have. Check it for printing, particularly on the LNBs. The LNBs are called the "eyes". You may have a settings problem. I will help you get everything working once I know which dish type and LNB type you have. Also, try to tell me how you connected it.

You will be much better off with a USB drive. They are very inexpensive, most discount stores and even dollar stores have them these days.

its the dish pro 500 but I dont think its the dish because the level the sat is on 91.0W Nimiq1 frequency 12618 MHz LNB Power on LNB TYpe universal Level is 92% greenQuality 99% green so it is the file that I have the problem with I dont believe it is the set up i can be wrong

Hey ken. I'm a cs tester and i love it. Very user friendly reciever.
Like woodcreeker was saying if you are loading your files on your reciever using a usb stick you don't need a loader program.
Dnld the latest factory bin file New Factory Bin File Coolsat 7100 micro PVR USB v.1.16
and the latest fix, Latest Fix New Bin File Coolsat 7100 micro PVR USB 7100USB NORW V193 11-11-08
unzip them and put the unziped files on the usb stick.
When you plug it into the reciever the load file screen will come up automaticlly.
Load the factory bin file then the fix. Keep in mind that if you are pointed at 91w there's almost nothing on it. The encription has just been changed so even if you do everything right almost every channel on 91w will come back "scrambled channel"

I'm pretty sure there's still a CBC channel or two working on 91w to see if you did everything right but you might want to think about pointing at one of the echostars if you actually want to watch some tv.

METALICA I can not thank you enough even though there are no channel yet but the file you sent me it was able to download in the receiver and now doing another scan.....thank you so much for your help and quick respond
