For sound problems, find your A/V Menu or Audio and turn Dolby sound to Off.

Re: Viewsat hd 9000 almost dead!

My receiver was working fine until 3 weeks ago. The dish is still pointing in the same direction, the upgardes just aren't working! Can you tell me what's going on. Is anyone else down?

Thanks

Re: Viewsat hd 9000 almost dead!

How is the receiver connected to the TV ?? You need sound connected (Red, White) if you are using S-Video or Component Out (Red, Green, Blue).

Also, find your A/V Menu or Audio Menu and turn Dolby sound to Off.

Hope This Helps !!

Re: Viewsat hd 9000 almost dead!

I have same problem. All my hardware setting are correct and have not been change for the past year. Everything worked fine untill 2 month ago. All i have is just a sound (NO VIDEO). Friend of mine brought his receiver just to see if is connectivity but his worked exelent. I have tried all the help i could find on this site even deleting keys manually as suggested. I tried everything form your site trying to fix or find a problem. No luck. My signal is 99% and Quality is 80%. pointing at Bev nimq 1 and nimq 4 ,channels info are showing fine. But all i get is just Audio and NO VIDEO. so what is it ? i belive is the Bin files. is the point that for it to work ill have to contribute some money so ill get the bin on time to work right? RIGHT?

I do not know what your friend brought over, but the only way the ExtremeView Magnum will work at this time is to point your dish at Echo 7 119W. BEV changed encryption and it doesn't work right now. Drop your dish down about 7 or 8 elevations, and move it towards the West about 30 degrees, which is around 5 minutes on a clock looking down from the top of the mast. Also, be sure you change the TP to 12239 to find Echo 7 119W.

If you have a Twin LNB contact me.

If you just have a single LNB, point it at 119W and Factory Default, then resetup and rescan after you get a signal. 91W will not work for you right now. You can mark the mast and dish mount to move it back to 91W later when new files are available.

Re: Viewsat hd 9000 almost dead!

Thank You woodcreeker for quick response.
Im using 2 LNB's on one original Bell EV dish pointing at 82W,91W.
I forget to mention that i do get video working on only one channel that is "BELL EV Info". so i understand that receiver, connections, and setting are fine.
(Audio is set to default and im using hdmi connectivity, it works fine)

So i do have to point at other sat for this to work? are other satelites transmit BEV?
Investing in motoriezd dish would be a good choice? If yes wich one?.

For now ill point dish at Echo 7 119W. and will let you know.
