trying to use the latest bin for vs2000extreeme. after channel scan, pressed OK to save. the Information screen says "updating information" and it never disappears. reflashed the receiver, still acting the same way.

if you have already had your ex up and running ,you shouldn't have to do another channel scan after loading new bin.for my xtreme,and ultra i put in the newest bin and then i put in the opkey file (viewsat files section), you load it the same way as a bin file

so, channel scann should be performed after loading new bin? someone once told me to always perform channel scann after loading new bin. what do you think suggest me doing now?

After loading the latest bin. Do a Factory default then scan channels. But scan the sat. one at a time.

thanks guys, it is ok now. however, why AR on some of the channels such as hbo, max, and ppv? i thought the latest bin for viewsat2000extreeme was supposed to fixed that.
