im trying to watch ufc and 455 says scramble and some of the other channels too. but most channels work like the ppvs and stuff.

All you had to do was do a Factory Reset with the remote.

Write down your Antenna Settings if you do not know them.
(You should always have these written down and kept in a safe place)

Menu -> Factory Setting -> Password 0000 (4 zeros) -> Ok

Then resetup satellites and rescan channels with Blind Scan.

thanks wood it worked. but now that i rescan all my channels. i've noticed i lost some channels, i also picked up a couple of new channels. how can i pick up all the channels i've lost. (xcess clip ten teez)

Check if you are getting any signal and quality on this Tp: 12253 V,if yes,then do a Tp scan on the Tp I mentioned.

yeah i am getting signal on 12253 but only on echo 7. i scan but still i cant get those channels? by the way are those channels on echo 7 or 8

Hit the SAT button, and select Echostar Package. A box will pop up, select any channel there. This will renumber the channels in the proper order. See if you are missing channels now.

Sounds like you may have setup Echo 8.10/Ku incorrectly. Or, you wer not viewing both satellites in your listing.

Any more problems...
Post your Dish type and LNB type. The LNBs are called the "eyes". Describe them the best you can. See if there is any printing on them, like Dish Pro or big black DP letters. Also post your Antenna Settings, and someone will tell you what is wrong, if I don't catch your new post.

never mind thanks for all the help. i had all the channels the whole time. i just realized the channel name changed to numbers. not sure why.

The channels changed their descriptions, somewhat. If you do what I described above, the channels are in the same area. Channels 485 to 499 or something like that. Then you can tell if they were there, or were gone much easier.

That will put them in the proper provider channel number order, and then those channels numbers rarely change. So, TVLand is always on 106, etc., etc.
