Howdy everyone! Last night, my 3500SD started fading out a ton so, being the noob that I was, I didn't bother to check for the updated bin and I changed some things around. I moved my dish (same EXACT settings) up the wall so that it was 100% clear (the installer put it BEHIND my wall, but it still worked off and on). I thought this would fix my problem, but it didn't (again, because of the bin fix). So I deleted my channels (do I do this after very fix?) and blind scanned ECHO 10 and 19 again, but now I only get about 80 channels or so from each, but they're the same EXACT channels!

So I'm lost now. I updated the bin today (with tivo attachment), made sure my connection was good, and then scanned for a fresh channel list. I still got around 80 channels, what happened!! Is it because I moved my dish up the wall? Should I get you guys some pics to help clarify what I'm talking about?

The wall runs North/South and the receiver is on the right (West) side. The house is more South than the receiver, but pitched at 51* (what it said on the angle calc.), it still sees over no problem. All I did was move the dish bracket attached to the wall up about a foot and North like 2 inches. That shouldn't make a huge difference, should it? The settings would also be the same, correct?

Well, I think I may have just solved my own problem! I went out and BARELY adjusted the angle on the beginning bracket (I have a dish 1000.2 btw) adjuster slightly more vertical (we're talking like 1*) and voila! Scan on ECHO 10 has found me over 125 channels so far at 26%.

I guess I answered my own question, huh? Oh yeah! Is it typical for the scan on ECHO 10 to only give me 296 channels and like 190 radio stations? What happened to "thousands of channels" lol!

you must have it in a clear location no trees or walls blocking the dish it makes a huuuuge impact
