Hello I need some advice?

Ok I am very new to all this so go easy on me lol. I did a factory re-set on my box and I read that it only erases certain things, I thought it erases it all. I set up the receiver the same way a friend has it so I know the settings are somewhat correct on that part but my channles are all over, I cannot go from 2,3,4 like that I cannot see local channels and I lost a lot of them. I get some liek 9388 then it jumps to 323 and so on. I have done everthing I have read and still it won't go back to the original way it was. I will like to know if anyone can help me. thanks

It's an option in the menu system somewhere.

Re: Hello I need some advice?

While setting it to sort by SID, make sure that you also check your settings for your local city. When this is set properly, you can use your local channel numbers to access the local channels instead of the SID number.

Re: Hello I need some advice?

If you have a sat button on your remote just hit that , in the menu choose Dishnet or Echostar package and that puts all your channels in order..Hope this helps..
