Pansat 9000HD No HD channs!!!
i set up my new Pansat 9000HD with thelatest a1 board. i only have a dish 500 right now at 110 and 119. and can i instal 129 on my dish 500 2?
becoz i read some posts are saying there some ppl did this, so what you guy's think about it? can i instal it? and i have also 61.5 alone on dish 18" and the same there is no hd!!! i did a channle scan and got the full 600 channles on 110 and 119 but no hd yes the board is recognized. i checked lyngsat at see the hd channels are on 110 only except 1 on 119. the transponder on 110 carring the majority of the 15 or so hd channles is 12632 and 12603 on 61.5 there is quality enough for a lock but no channels scanned stil nothing. and 12511 same thing no hd!!! in the dish setting menu function i set the tp to 12632 on 110 and only get 40% quality, enough for a lock but no channels scanned. i did this with teh setting for external board on and regular tuner no change. the dish is tweaked really well, cables are rg6 as well. SOOOOOOOOOOOO what gives? i read some other posts from august saying there was some issues with hd signal loss. here are hte 3 questions could i have some answers please and not the usual "read this post" 1. is the loop thru cable necessary or redundant, i e feed lnb to external board only? 2. if i place another dish up for 129 can it be a 18" dish or only i can instl on dish with the aother 110,119 ???. 3. what is hte differnece between dp34 adn dp44 switches, is it 3x4 and 4x4 nomenclature. do i need one for the second dish or can i use a 22khz switch set to off adn hte dish 500 setup set to on? plz help?????! thanks to all |

Re: Pansat 9000HD No HD channs!!!
Most people just use a Dish 1000 or Dish 1000.2 for getting 129W and the HD channels.
No different settings or whatever is not going to get 129W with a Dish 500 aimed at 110W and 119W. You need a Dish aimed at 129W. 1. The loop cable is absolutely necessary, or else the 8psk tuner never gets signal and scans in the HD channels. It is not redundant. Also, the cable you get for this is generally of a poor quality. I would get a short quad-shielded RG-6 cable for this. 2. Dishes for 129W are better off being much bigger. The dish 1000s have trouble even getting a real great signal. An 18" dish is too small. 3. 3x4 means 3 orbital positions in, 4 receivers out. 4x4 is 4 orbital positions in, 4 receivers out. I believe the SW-21 switch question is number 4. You cannot use a SW-21 22KHz switch in front of DiSEqC switches. The DiSEqC commands do not pass through them. They do make a special 22KHz switch that will do this, it is called an Ecoda 22KHz switch. But, connecting another Dish 500 may not be a large enough dish for 129W, also. It does depend where you are. Since you do not say where you are, I cannot advise, but it would be best to get a larger dish with a Circular LNB. Most large dishes come with a Linear LNB, so that would not work with 129W. Hope This All Helps !!

Re: Pansat 9000HD No HD channs!!!
My mistake, a Pansat 9000HD cannot decode DN HD channels. I thought the questions were for a Pansat 9200HD, as you were saying that you HAD an 8psk ready to go, and you were wondering if the cable needed to be connected, etc., so I just answered the questions above as if you did have a 9200HD.
Sorry, buddy, the 9000HD will not get DN HD.
