scanning 110/119
Hi. I'm pretty sure this has been asked but I can't seem to find a direct answer. I have Dish 500 (2 LNB) and I have one cable coming from it and connecting to receiver. When I scan 110/119, I get exact duplicates. I have it set on Standard when scanning (not Dish Pro). So, do I need to only scan 110 OR 119 to get all the channels for this 2 LNB dish? Or, am I missing a setting somewhere to get both 110/119 to come in NOT duplicates. Thanks.

Re: scanning 110/119
Connect the 119W LNB to a DiSEqC switch on Port 1 or it might be labeled LNB1 on the switch.
The 119W LNB is the LNB on the right when you are looking at the dish. You will also find a raised print on the Y yoke labeling the LNBs. The East LNB is the 119W LNB and the West LNB is for 110W. Note - Always power Off the receiver when playing with LNB cables. Connect the 110W LNB to Port 2 or it might be labeled LNB2 on the DiSEqC switch. Factory Reset the receiver. Use Menu -> Factory Setting -> 0000 (four zeros) -> Ok Then in the antenna settings, use DiSEqC (1.0) #1 for 119W, and DiSEqC (1.0) #2 for 110W. You should have received a DiSEqC switch with your receiver. The LNB Type of Standard is correct, and be sure LNB Freq is 11250. Be sure both are setup and checked, and exit and go to Blind SCan and blind scan both satellites, one at a time. Only do each once. If I knew which model you have, I could help you more with this. Hope This Helps !!!

Re: scanning 110/119
If they are dish pro lnbs , lnb type should be set to OCS-DP , turn lnb power off except for the sat you are scanning example if you are scanning 110 turn lnb power off for 119 then vise versa when scanning 119 , just remember to turn lnnb power back on for all sats after scanning and I would suggest doing a channel , Tp or sat scan for scanning

Re: scanning 110/119
Thanks guys! Some good help here. I will look at all your comments and see what I can do to rectify this. Yes, there is a switch tied to the sat..two cables coming from sat for input and output of one cable going to receiver. I'll have to see if this is set up correct. It's a 3500 pansat. Also, I think I just broke a record for 7/ku. I just did a blind scan and got 605 channels listed just on that one sat. Usually I get around 350 for each 110 and 119. Although, the channels aren't working even with the new fix. Seems Pansat has more and more problems these days. I suggested to my friend to get a conaxsat mini (based on good reviews) and he never has these issues and seems never to be down....go figure. Thanks again.
