New HD Receiver From Viewsat - The VS9000HD V2 - Dual Tuner Upgrade

Well by now most have heard about the next Generation Viewsat VS9000HD. A lot have asked what and why is there another tuner. Well on top of adding an internal fan to help keep the unit cool, they have added a second satellite tuner. At present time this tuner will not work in conjunction with the first tuner (main). However it will still function. The first shipment was sent out without cables included by mistake. The advantage of this added tuner is that in future FIRMWARE releases, it will allow the VS9000HD to be a true dual tuner HD PVR. Those who wish to use the add-on module will need to remove and replace this tuner. The Dual Tuner feature will also be available with the add-on module. This will make the VS9000HD the first true dual tuner HD PVR via FIRMWARE activation. Seems Viewsat is still on top of their game.

Either the V1 or V2 will be able to function as a true Dual Tuner HD PVR once the FIRMWARE is available for it with either the Add-on module for DN or the V2s additional tuner it comes with.
