I am looking for a loader for a Pansat 2500a and thought it would be helpful to have it inside the current bin file updates area. I have the bin I also need to know the specs on the serial connection (usb to serial).

The best Loader to use is the Blacklist Loader Updater v1.4

Since you are using a USB To Serial Adapter, this is going to take you several trials before you get everything to work. Even loading a file will take you a while. You will also need to have a Serial cable to connect the Adapter to the receiver.

Turn the unit on and tell me what shows on the receiver display.

Also use the remote and go down and tell me the System Information.

I am just getting online and need to purchase the usb to serial cable. Is it a null modem cable or what? Is there another option?

usmcoth, You will need to get a Straight Through serial cable, Null Modem cable won't work..

and if I'm not mistaken the success results have to do with what kind of sata controllers chipset your pc have cause some of it are not compatible and your connection port must be a pre-master not a slave I hope this helps
