HELP!!

I am stuck in the land of 503 errors and cannot get out!! Luv the new site but those errors are
a GLORIFIED pain you'll know where! When will this prob be addressed?? Wondering T.

Hi Woodcreeker , Sorry for writting, but this 503 error code is a pain in the ( , ) A$$and I was wondering when this site will correct this problem I have tryed your site allot but I keep getting this 503 and can't log in . If this problem consist I will discontinue this site.I have wrote several time's regarding this problem and its still here , I know you guys are trying to improve your site which is why I haven't conplained further but now its becomeing anoying and there are other sites out there which doesn't have problems of logging in or not being able to log in because of to many people on site and that are free.So far my man I see 2 sites that is doing very well which is (completefta.com and funwithfta.com )I told you those sites because your site is the only one I donated to in which I like the most but if I can't get on ,i will have to go elsewhere. Seen those site and it is your privilege to join them if you want. No one will stop you however they both appear to be behind as far as releasing new files. But it is a free world at least around North America and your choice is yours. Enjoy. The errors are annoying I will grant you that however this site still rules for files and quick advice. LOL

This site is not the only free site out there. It is not always the fastest in releasing the latest bin files. The 503 errors are super annoying.ButThe mods, helpers and the majority of the posting membership have show a great desire to help the members of this community in a friendly, positive manner. This is something that I do not see on the other sites.I'm guessing that the delay in moving this site to a better server is probably due to the amount of work involved, or financial conciderations. Last night I decided that this site was deffinaitly worth lending a helping hand, so I made a donation. If your a reqular user of this site; and the 503 errors have you sitting on the fence as to wether to donate now or wait and see if the site becomes more functional. ( I was fence sitting ) Concider the posibility that your donation now, may help acheive that goal a little quicker. If you still decide to wait; please click the link above ( in majestik's post) " How To Donate To This Site Without Spending A Dime!!" and give it a read. Hell..It gives you something to do while your waiting for this server to play nice.

thanks for the kind words...
the delay in transferring the site is for the most part the recent extra activity by DN and BEV.
To transfer the site, means there will be a down time.
Since new files are released almost on an hourly basis, woodcreeker decided to get everything posted and once everyone has working files and the ECM are calmed down a bit (usually the time when the least amount of users visit the site anyways), he will finalize the transfer.

So basically, we are getting 503 errors because of DN and BEV.. LOL

Gotta say guys getting posting a fix which nobody can access due to the 503 errors isn't the priority I'd set.

This is my favorite site...and I'm a member of many many many sites. Nice people, even better moderators here, but truthfully the 503 errors drive me away. I usually try aaafta initially if I hit 503 and after couple of refreshes, and caches cleans its still happening I normally head elsewhere.

Case in point to get to the position to post this it took 7 refreshes, and 3 cache cleans. Thats unacceptable, and horribly annoying. I'm sure you guys know as well as I do it's a pain, but I figured I'd add my 2 cents.

Hopefully it's cleaned up very soon as it's gone on long enough. I'd hate to see membership drop on such a great place to share.

Ps you should post who your host is so noone else makes the same mistake.

I live in the same house as the site owner and I can personally attest to internet issues which have slowed the transfer of the site. Our IP has been having some outages but they seem to have passed. I'm sure the errors will end soon.

I wrote that thread in no ways of threating to go to other sites but to show owner that he is going to have to do something quickly on this problem with the 503 error.
And his outages at his house has nothing to do with the 503 error , I know that for a fact because I have had web sites in the past and the company you host from for example yahoo or ebay are responciple for keeping your site up and running not the owner of the site.

Again, I like this site and I beleive it's worth saving but every day this 503 error is in affect he will lose his members because when a person gets on that site , they are there for a reason which is information!
Now if you go to a store and that store is out of what you are seeking to buy ,what do you do? But go to another store "Right"

So in closing I would like to say I wrote my thread to get some advise of what is going on and when I did I had Butt kissers get involved in a thread that was directed to woodcreeker which was none of there bussines.
Now how the owner of the site runs his bussines is his own affair,all I am saying is time is running against him because every week there are new sites popping up that are better and quicker in getting files and this 503 error is doing nothing but losing members.

I specifically mentioned the transfer of the site because he's trying to get the site moved to another server as he's mentioned in another thread. The outages make it difficult for him to upload and redo everything.

Also, I wasn't trying to 'buttkiss' or butt-in, but forums and their threads are public. Private messages to specific people are what PM's are for.

I myself hope these problems are solved too. It's annoying to back up a page and keep retrying the links. Good day too all!

hi lifeindecember, The butt kissing is not towards you my man,that was towards others on this thread!I just hope that the owner correct's this problem because he does has a good site and it is worth salvaging but still every day he will lose subscribers unless this is corrected.I am retired now and my function when I was working was to save business's from going out of business and I would help him if he ask me .Some people on this thread said I have a attitude, which is wrong !
