SlingPlayer For USB Drive Released

Can you imagine just putting this SlingPlayer version on a USB Drive, and simply plugging the USB Drive into anyones Laptop and watch your TV from home. This is just yet another awesome development for the Slingbox.

Hello All,

Ive created a portable slingplayer.exe program which allows you to run slingplayer without installing anything, quite simply; you download slingplayer.exe that I created and place it on any portable device, external drive, etc and once you run it you will get the SlingPlayer. With Full Vista Support.

How is this possible?
I use a program called Thinstall as a registered developer, which allows me to create portable programs which can be run without the headache of registery files, dll, etc since it packages the entire runtime environment within the .exe itself, thus eliminating the need for the end user to have to actually install anything and run the program straight away!

What does this mean for you?
It means you could run slingplayer.exe from your portable device or transfer it to a friends desktop/device without installations etc, or you could share it over your network very fast and very easily, run it from guest accounts, internet cafes, etc. Possibilities are limitless.
