Sonicview 8000HD clones

Does anybody know if the Sonicview 8000HD had been cloned. If it has been do you know how to tell just from minor differences in it's cosmetics?

Re: Sonicview 8000HD clones

I have never heard of an 8000 clone. I don't think they exist.

Re: Sonicview 8000HD clones

That's good to hear, someone is offering a used one at a good price and I am thinking of buying it.

Re: Sonicview 8000HD clones

The only thing you should be aware of is that there is a V1 and a V2 SV8000. The V2 has a fan at the back. Also there are V1 and V2 versions of the 8psk adapter. The V1 is green and has a lot of problems with over heating. The v2 is red and doesn't have as many problems.

Re: Sonicview 8000HD clones

Thanks McSqueeker. I actually already knew about the V1 and V2 receiver and card. I think I asked about it a while ago and I think you answered me on these questions.

Other than the fan for the V1 and V2 receiver is there any other difference. Someone is selling a V1 cheap and they have already hooked up an external fan. Can I assume that even the V1 can also use the V2 8SPK card?

Re: Sonicview 8000HD clones

I thought that was you

Yeah I'm pretty sure you can use a V1 with a V2 card.
