Re: iHub CHAT and HELP discussions
We need to find a way for the computer to find the iHub. Maybe try that other router you got. Plug the iHub and your computer into it, unplug your dial up connection and see if wiznet can find it.

Re: iHub CHAT and HELP discussions
Any luck? I have an idea as to what this problem may be desertbuster. Do you have your ethernet port disabled, either manually or by not having the driver installed? Here's how to check. Click on start and right click on my computer (if you're using xp, you're name if you are using Vista). A list will pop up select properties and navigate to the tab where you see "device manager" at the top click on that and a little window with a list of devices should show up. One of those should be "Network adapters" or something to that effect.
The other way to check this would be to goto control panel>network connections and just post the writing from whatever icons you see in there. (This is probably the easier way).

Re: iHub CHAT and HELP discussions
"Disabled", there it is. Plug the ethernet cable into the router and into the ethernet port and right click on the disabled one and enable it.

Re: iHub CHAT and HELP discussions
Yeah try it out, always reboot the receiver when trying to find it. Reboot then wait 'til it powers on and then hit search.

Re: iHub CHAT and HELP discussions
Ok settle down
So carry on with the instructions. Apply those settings and then search again to see that they took effect.

Re: iHub CHAT and HELP discussions
Change it to static using wiznet. Do it more than once if it doesn't take the first time.

Re: iHub CHAT and HELP discussions
Ok, what I would do right now if I were you is to go ahead and try to load 1.4. So, go to wiznet and find the ihub then hit the upload button, then select the unzipped 1.4 firmware and wait until it's finished. Then after that power off the receiver using the switch power it back on and search for the ihub using wiznet. Let me know if it's 1.4. Good luck!
