Re: iHub CHAT and HELP discussions
Really? Wow, awesome!! Erase wiznet from your computer. Great job the hard part is over!! Load 209 on your receiver and goto ipconfig. Let me know when you are there.
Give yourself a pat on the back!

Re: iHub CHAT and HELP discussions
A crossover cable is a special network cable you use to connect certain devices together. We might be able to use the router for this purpose. So what I need you to do now is connect the ethernet from your computer to one of the four ports on the router and your iHub to one of the four ports as well. Then you goto start>run>cmd and type ipconfig and hit enter. Then post all of those numbers here.

Re: iHub CHAT and HELP discussions
Crap means it's been freezing a lot lately and was down for a few days. Nothing unexpected you have to deal with these things when you work with new technology.

Re: iHub CHAT and HELP discussions
I have only heard of dialup users able to get it working with a crossover cable straight to the ihub from pc.
Curiously waiting to see if it will work with a router using dialup. Good luck.

Re: iHub CHAT and HELP discussions
1 and 2 is fine.
@Spyder, I don't know that this will work but due to the fact that you can change the the numbers in the ipconfig of the ihub you should "theoretically" be able to connect to any web address (ie the adress of the computer sharing it's internet connection).

Re: iHub CHAT and HELP discussions
Hey desert you need to do this on your computer:
c/p I have been using dial up this how to. First thing you must set up Internet connection sharing from your computer. Click start menu, click on connect to, right click on dial up icon look for Properties. Left click on properties then left click on advanced tab on top. You will now see: 1- fire wall settings 2- Internet connection sharing Box, check THIS BOX( Then make sure box allow other users network users) is CHECKED At bottom of page left click on Network setup wizard. you will now see a pop up for the the wizard. in the wizard click next, click next again. (If not connected to dial up at this time check box ,ignore disconnected network). You will now see a local connection icon in window, Then click next. In the pop up window you will see 3 choices ( this very important) Only check this computer connects to internet. Then click next, next pop up you can name what you want .click next,Same in next pop up then click next, I like to to check turn off file and printer-sharing then click next, next pop click next,THEN WIZARD WILL RUN AFTER WIZARD FINISHES YOU WILL HAVE 4 CHOICES, check bottom only box (JUST FINISH Wizard). Then click next,Then Click Finished. OK Your Internet sharing is set. Let me know when you've finished.
