Factory default/system clean file/ihub/version 82/wiznet
c/p from zekester
OK Everyone, I'm gonna kill 3 birds with one stone. Remember to think logically, and I mean LOGICALLY. 1) FACTORY DEFAULT- Don't do it if you get version 82. LOGIC: version 82 is a Wiznet problem not your STB . 2) If you've done a factory default , STOP AND READ THIS: doing a FD only resets your sat settings, erases your favorites, turns autoroll back on, etc etc. IT DOES NOT CHANGE THIS FACT: Logic: Whatever file you loaded last is still the one that is there(in my case 209. If I did a FD, my 209 will still be the current fix in my Version Info under Menu>Installation>Version Info. . 3) Version 82 is a Wiznet error when communicating with the IHUB, NOT YOUR STB . SO DON"T DO A factory default . Logic:Why touch your STB if your Wiznet isn't communicating with IHUB??DON'T . 4) IHUB Version 0100 ROM was issued to RESET the IHUB, not too revert it but to RESET it so WIZNET could communicate with the IHUB, and be updated to VERSION 1.4. . 5) Fixes for the STB are not cummulative. The one before IS NOT REQUIRED FOR THE CURRENT ONE(unless otherwise stated by the author). Logic: Jan 8 fix was for Jan 8, UNRELATED to the IHUB STB fixes. Otherwise ALL FIXES would have to be loaded, and that's not practical. Logic: No need to load fix after fix after fix. . 6) System Clean FILE(I've never used): Will erase all version of fixes and restore your STB to it's last Factory file , likely the one it came with. Logic: Sys Clean file was released because of a specific BIN problem last year sometime, so as to revert back to Factory file , to enable the correct fix to work, so it's not required here, unless, you've already done so, read on...... SO . HERE'S WHAT WE'RE GOING TO DO: A) If you were watching TV prior to the IHUB V1.4/IHUB STB FIX and got Version 82 when trying to update the IHUB, DON"T factory default , RUN the IUHB reset Version 0100 on the Wiznet Utility. Open Wiznet(with IHUB plugged), click search, the grey fields should fill in, click upload and load Version 0100 BIN . THis should reset IHUB to Version 1.0. Then uplaod Version 1.4. . B) If you were watching TV prior to the IHUB V1.4/IHUB STB FIX and got Version 82 when trying to update the IHUB, AND DID A FACTORY DEFAULT, just redo your sat settings, scan them. Then RUN the IHUB reset Version 0100 on the Wiznet Utility. Open Wiznet(with IHUB plugged), click search, the grey fields should fill in, click upload and load Version 0100 BIN . THis should reset IHUB to Version 1.0. Then uplaod Version 1.4. . C) If you were watching TV prior to the IHUB V1.4/IHUB STB FIX and got Version 82 when trying to update the IHUB, AND DID A factory default , AND PUT IN THE SYSTEM CLEAN FILE, then all that's needed is the LATEST IHUB STB FIX, redo IHUB settings in IP CONFIG(in STB), RUN WIZNET, CLICK SEARCH, wait for grey fields to fill, CLICK UPLOAD and load the Version 1.4. . D) Think of your IHUB as a separate STB , it needs the Wiznet to enable UPDATING, just like your STB does with USB stick and fixes. They just use different methods. So a problem with you Wiznet is likely not related to your STB , but just a miscommunication with your IHUB. A,B,C is much easier than phucking with your modem/router settings, unplugging this to plug into that, pinging this or that, changing IP this or IP that. None of the ABOVE A,B,C requires changing settings or otherwise. . It's really easier than you think. Remember LOGIC shall prevail. . TB and I hashed this out today, he's up and running, and didn't change anthing in his WIZNET settings/tabs or the IHUB STB IP CONFIG(entered what is required per instructions on setting up IHUB), period. RUB A DUB DUB, TB AND ZEKE KING OF IHUB, lol. HOPE THIS HELPS SOME of YOU GUYS. Why take the long way around when there's a safe shortcut??
