FTA Question getting started

Hi,
I have Sonicview 360 recievers. An Elite and a Premier. I would like to set up with a Sling shot to get remote viewing TV. I am not sure of what to buy.
I would like to feed a cable box and my Fta reciever to the box. I know it is a sling box, but there seems to be more than one choice.
I need to know what upload and download internet speed for sending from home, and what internet speed for recieving. Is the required speed any different if I wanted HD?
I have hundred more questions but this is a start.
many thanks in advance, Brit20
